RESPONSIBILITIES OF MOVERS AND THEIR CLIENTS
In order to organize a stress free transfer from one place to another, in conjunction with your professional national mover, responsibilities must be clearly established so that each of us knows how we can best plan the task ahead. Both the mover and the client have certain responsibilities detailed below:
Provides a trained moving consultant to coordinate the details of the move in accordance with the needs of the client.
Surveys the removal goods and explains how they will be packed.
Provides an estimate as accurate as possible and explains it.
Provides a contract / quotation and explains the details.
Supplies top quality packing material, labor and transportation.
Provides reports of the removal process.
Explains his needs in detail to the moving consultant, advising any weight or volume limitations, as well as the time frame.
Provides information regarding limitations set by the landlord regarding removal days and hours, and normal use of elevators.
Shows all the items to be moved to the moving consultant, and points out items requiring special handling.
Makes provisions to be present during the survey and the packing process.
Supplies a valued inventory for insurance.
Disconnects the washing machine and drains the water from the hose, empties the refrigerator, dries the inside carefully, leaving the door open, disconnects lamps and appliances, and insures that nothing is left behind on the day of loading the removal goods.
Makes arrangements to pay for the moving services according to the terms of the contract.
